Do I really have to pay back Credit card debts?

You might. If its just a bill in collections, you dont HAVE to do anything. If the bill gets a judgement placed against it, and an asset hearing has occurred, your wages can be garnished, and you have no choice.

Do I really have to pay back Credit card debts?

Of course you do.

Hey Yahoo! I%26#039;d like to nominate this for the dumbest question of the week award. (And there have been a lot of contenders.)

Do I really have to pay back Credit card debts?

Are you serious?? YES!

Do I really have to pay back Credit card debts?

hmmm lets think about this one.... yea you have to pay it back, what kind of question is that?

Do I really have to pay back Credit card debts?

Yes if you want to lead a tension free life. Paying debt helps in many ways some of them are:

(1) keeping your credit score good enough

(2) also it builds your relations with bank and they come helpful in the time of needs

(3) You remains away from legal issue

ESPECIALLY CREDIT CARDS.UNSECURE CREDIT IS WHAT ESTABLISHES YOUR CREDIT,WITHOUT THIS YOU WILL HAVE NO SCORE OR IT MAY BRING DOWN YOUR SCORE A LOT! IF YOU PAY NOTHING ELSE..... ALWAYS PAY FOR CREDIT CARDS,MORTAGES AND FURNITURE STORES ,ETC.

ESPECIALLY CREDIT CARDS!I THINK YOU UNDERSTAND.!

Do I really have to pay back Credit card debts?

Yes. Credit cards can garnish your wages if you dont.

You%26#039;ll also never be able to buy a home or car, unless you%26#039;ve got the cash. .

Do I really have to pay back Credit card debts?

of course. Credit cards are not free money! I make a point to only use my credit card if I know I can afford to pay off the bill at the end of the month. If I know I can%26#039;t afford to pay a 400 dollar bill, I will make sure that what I purchase will fit in to the money that I do have. Never spend money that you don%26#039;t have. Credit cards are a way to build a credit history to lower your interest rates and allow you to have a history to reflect on if you were to want a loan to buy a house or a car. Credit cards are only good when building a credit history if you keep in good standing with the company. Even if you can only make the minimum payment (which I wouldn%26#039;t recommend, because you are basically just paying the interest) it is better than not paying at all. Becoming delinquent on payments is never good. Good luck!

Do I really have to pay back Credit card debts?

No you do not have to pay back credit cards. Here is why: You will lead a much more exciting life always being on the run from bill collectors. Think of all the places you will see as you travel the country running from the creditors.

You will develop all the skills needed to become a politician. You will learn how to lie, cheat, and doublespeak. Valuable skills if you have political aspirations. Is your last name Clinton?

And finally, just imagine all the things your children will NEVER have because you chose to live a life of dishonesty. You will neve be able to offer them a stable home to live in, they will be changing schools every year and never learn to develop meaningful relationships (what happy marrried lives they will lead) and forget them having anything nice because you will always be taking on low paying and low key jobs so the bill collectors will stay off of your trail.

That sounds like a much more exciting life than one of financial stability and responsibility. I don%26#039;t know why I chose the boredom and monotony of a mortgage, car, and financial independence. What was I ever thinking?

As much fun as I have had reading the responses of my fellow responders, I can only answer based on my own experiences. I assume this does NOT apply to you, but I think it should be said. I live in Canada, and work for American Express Canada as a customer service agent/supervisor. It is our corporate policy that debts $10.00 or less are too negligible to go after. If one of our customers%26#039; current debt is a measly $6.00 of remaining interest for example, they can ignore the statements for upwards of a year, not incur any more interest, not be reported to the Credit Bureau, and have the $6.00 eventually written off.

I realize your question was perhaps meant facetiously, and in truth it sounded fairly humourous to me as well. All I know is that my company would ignore non-payment for $10.00 or less - anything more than that though, and we will fulfill the terms of our contracts and report customers to the Credit Bureau or to collection agencies should the need arise.
