actually, its legal to give them $10 a month and they can do nothing to you. they will threaten, send letters and phone calls, but they really cant do anything but put a blemish on your credit report. to go thru the court system would probably cost them more than your debt, and then all they could do is repo what you bought, which will not be worth the debt. the people who contact you get a commission on every debt collected, so they will say anything to get you to pay. most times they want the full amount right away. dont panic. pay what you can. alot of times they will settle for pennies on the dollar when they realize they cant bully you around. dont fall into their trap. they can do nothing to you.

It would be a dumb move to quit your job just for the separation pay. If you don%26#039;t have another job lined up already, you could fall further behind in all your other bills.

What you should do is find out where you can trim your current expenses to have the money available for your debt payments. Make a list of where all your money goes for a week or two. You will be surprised at how much is wasted. Once you cut out the waste, make a budget and stick to it. It can be as simple as writing it on a piece of paper, or keeping track on your computer.

First, lock the credit card in a safe deposit box.

Second, ask your boss if there some way to be worth more money to the company.

Third, make the minimum payments every time.

Fourth, stop smoking, renting videos, ordering pizza, drinking beer, playing the lottery, playing golf, playing poker, and shopping on the internet.

Fifth, ask you banker if refinancing is a good idea for this debt.

Otherwise, sell your home, or rent a really cheap apartment.

This is real life here, and it isn%26#039;t supposed to be fun.

consolidate your credit card debt:

Before consolidating your credit card debts, it is important to carry out thorough investigation to determine its suitability for your condition. Many credit card companies and banks provide debt consolidation services to their customers. To start the process, it is important to scrutinize your debt properly. Write down the interest rates charged on various cards. If the new rate is far below average of the old one, then opt for consolidation as it will be cheaper for you. After you get all the information, contact a professional, to assist you with the consolidation, and get the best offer.
