Did you file for unemployment. Yes you can file for bankruptcy, but they change the rules starting this years, it is harder now. Look up the laws, to see if you can file for yourself, as here in Florida it cost about $700.00 to get a lawyer to do it for you. I think it is strange that if you have no money to pay your bills, then you will have no money to file for bankruptcy must be a catch 22 type of thing.
