I have some out standing accounts, that contain information that says I own around 800 dollars too several companies. I am going to be starting a new job, and will finally have the money to pay off this debt. I want to know how I can get a credit card. Do I have to have a special card, where I put money down, first%26lt;

If you%26#039;re already in debt up to $800, why on earth would you want to get a credit card and make it worse? My advice is to stay away from credit cards until you have paid off the money you already owe and have learned how to adequately handle your finances so you don%26#039;t find yourself in a similar or worse situation once you do get a credit card.

Many companies are offering prepaid credit cards now. Best thing to do is get the others paid off and remember how you got into this mess to begin with.

once you start your job, I%26#039;d try Capital One....it%26#039;s pretty easy to get a card from them....or Washington Mutual....and no, you don%26#039;t have to put money down, but stay away from the cards that charge you money upfront....it%26#039;s a rip off

don%26#039;t get a credit card until you have paid the $800 off then if you really need a credit card which no on ever does then do some research on what cards have the best intrest rates and which ones give the best rewards. try and google %26quot;best credit card%26quot; and go from there it will benefit you in the long run, cuz by doing this you willl find out that place like cap one have annual fees and raise your rates on you with out telling you and are just a pain to deal with. your better off going with a credit card from some type of credit union in you area because they aer better about the fees and often have good reward programs.

The card is unsecured, but your limit will probably only be about $70.

They approve almost anyone, so give it a try.

in the meantime, I suggest you get your 3 credit reports, and try to start rebuilding/repairing your credit (getting a credit card DOES help with this, but only if you always make payments ON TIME)

Trust me you will need good credit down the road, so why not start now?
