The good news....Credit Card debt in California has an SOL of 4 years (oral contracts are 2, it%26#039;s debatible if CC debt is considered this in California).



The bad news...when you leave the country the SOL freezes, and will restart once you return. I%26#039;m not up on the specifics of this and need to do more research. But you get the general idea.



The reporting on your credit report is still the same...7 years from the date of the delinquency.
