Credit card debts?

if you dont really pay for it, the debts..can they send you to jail or what?? what else can they do, when theres nothing that you can really do to pay them back..

Credit card debts?

The accounts will go into collection. You will be denied credit and it will be very hard for you to get a mortgage later on.

I noticed you said, %26quot;There%26#039;s nothing you can really do to pay them back%26quot;. How%26#039;s that? Can you not work?

Be responsible - pay off your debts.

Credit card debts?

No you can%26#039;t be jailed. However, they can get a judgment against you in court and if you EVER come into money, sell your house, etc. they can collect. They can possibly garnish wages from your job, your bank account, etc.

Instead of ignoring the problem--interest WILL accrue--you should talk to a place like Consumer Credit Counseling and see if something can be worked out.

Credit card debts?

They can%26#039;t send you to jail. You will continue to pay interest, late fees, overlimit fees, etc. If you don%26#039;t pay, they will send your account to a collection agency. If you don%26#039;t pay the collection agency, they can get a judgement against you through the courts. With a judgement, they can attach your wages (meaning money will be automatically deducted from your paycheck) and possibly seize your bank accounts and your income tax refunds (depending on the type of debt). If you are married or get married, they could also attach your spouse%26#039;s wages.

Another bad effect of not paying your credit cards is that your credit score will go way down. Negative information (late payments, accounts closed by lender, collection accounts, judgements) will remain on your credit report for 7-10 years. This will make it much harder for you to get loans, credit cards, or any other type of credit.

You should contact a credit counseling service to see if they can help. Don%26#039;t just let it go -- it will only make it worse.
